Japheth Odesanya’s Chairmanship Aspiration Gets Traditional Support

The symbol of the KOLUJO Team, Comrade Japheth Abolade Odesanya, has continued to get support from major stakeholders in furtherance of his aspiration to become the next Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.

The latest support for the former Scribe of the lkorodu Local government, was coming from an important traditional chieftain in Ikorodu Kingdom, High Chief Wasiu Akinsanya, the Alashe Itunmaja.

Kayode Alade, esq., the Head, KOLUJO Media Directorate, revealed that Alashe gave his blessings to the former  students’ leader and political activist’s aspiration when he and members of his team paid a courtesy visit to his palace in Itunmoja on Wednesday.

Alabi, quoting David C. Rose, said that culture and tradition play significance roles in the socio – economic and political settings of any given society, thus, the reason for the consultation which, according to him, yielded another endorsement from Alashe Akinsanya.

“Overall, cultural traditions are valuable for society as they contribute to social stability, identity formation, psychological security, and the promotion of cooperation and prosperity”, he quoted.

“Driven, as usual, by the above statement, the KOLUJO train, yesterday, July 10, 2024, stopped at the palace of Alashe Itunmaja, High Chief Wasiu Akinsanya, to seek his spiritual blessings and support for the aspiration of comrade Japheth Odesanya to become the next executive chairman of Ikorodu local government in 2024.

While stating that the custodian of a major tradition of Ikorodu people welcomed the team warmly, Alabi also added that he did not hesitate in declaring his support.

” For the purpose of clarity, let me say here and now, that I’m a strong supporter of Kolujo in the morning, afternoon, evening, night and any time. My love for Japheth is never hidden. His grandfather, Chief Olanipekun Ogbe and my late dad, Chief Fatai Akinsanya (an ex Alashe Itunmaja) were very close friends. I will never break that bond”, he vowed and then gave his blessings.

Comrade Japheth said the visit was in continuation of the team’s deliberate, progressive intention to deepen citizens’ democratic engagement for an all-inclusive political process to develop Ikorodu.

He, therefore, urged all to get involved by registering with the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that the party’s online membership registration would commence soon.

He assured that his administration would uphold tradition and culture to bring about prosperity.
